The New BMW M3

Presenting to you the ultimate in motor sporting this time. This was the first ever sedan car to introduce the idea of a powerful engine in a family 4 door saloon and as awkward it would have sounded 15 years back, it still managed to make ripples across the planet. I'm talking about the BMW M3, and this time it comes out with a newer model with a much more tweaked engine and much more elegant looks.

I must say i love this introductory color, although not as much as we all love this car:)


Engine And Performance:

There's more to it This is the first time an M3 won't feature a straight 6 and also another first time .. it'll feature a V8! Infact a 4 litre V8 which produces a massive 420 hp, capable of upto 8,400 rpm. I cant even imagine the sound this V8 will produce at this rpm i'd say i'm waiting eagerly to hear it! And there is more to it acceleration to 100 km/h comes in just 4.8 seconds, and the car continues this mind-boggling performance with fascinating consistency all the way to its top speed of 250 km/h or 155 mph, where the engine electronics set an artificial limit to the ongoing power and performance of the new BMW M3.



This new car promises more fun and excitement which is very much highlighted by the car's character and expressions.The Over and above the engine compartment lid with its striking power dome and the two air intake openings, the function-oriented design of the front and rear air dams, the so-called gills in the front side panels, the side-sills also in distinctive design, the roof made of clearly visible carbon fiber, as well as the exterior mirrors and light-alloy wheels in BMW M design clearly characterize the new model from the ground up. The exterior, in turn, through its athletic and aesthetic appearance, powerfully underlines the sporting qualities of the car.


This M3 comes with bundles of technology, but the base is still the same the very difficult to use on board computer. I hope that they've done something to give it a much friendly touch, in all we're very much looking forward to the unleashing of this beast! Price figure's havn't been released as yet but it'll be significantly more that the straight 6 version because this car give a better package in all !

Honda Accord 2008

After turning heads all over the world for more than a decade with much improved and refined models year by year, Accord's new model has been released. Engine:

An available 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine produces 268-horsepower, which is the most ever for any Accord. This new car also introduces a new generation of fuel-saving Variable Cylinder Management™ (VCM®) technology and achieving a Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle(PZEV1) rating. The VCM system operates in six-cylinder mode for power and 4- and 3-cylinder modes for efficiency, resulting in an EPA city/highway fuel economy rating of 19/29.2 miles per gallon (Accord Sedan V-6).


New features:

Also new for Accord, an Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure enhances frontal collision compatibility with vehicles of different sizes and bumper heights. Additional safety equipment standard to all Accord models includes Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®), also known as Electronic Stability Control; side-curtain airbags; dual-chamber front side air bags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS), active front seat head restraints, anti-lock brakes and more.



The Accord is available in sedan and coupe body styles with 2.4-liter 4-cylinder and 3.5-liter V-6 engine choices. Available transmissions include a 5-speed manual (standard with all 4-cylinder engines), a 5-speed automatic (standard on sedan V-6 models, available with all 4-cylinder engines and V-6-powered Accord Coupes,) and a 6-speed manual transmission (exclusive to the Accord Coupe EX-L V-6 6MT).

Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1

This is my first post ever to have 5 pictures and there is a reason behind that i couldn't think which one of these should i drop out! This car is way more sexy than i ever imagined a car could get. This is the Cayman S Porsche design Edition 1, a limited edition of the mid engined coupe Cayman. This new car is set to be released in Nov, 2007.

The Looks This master piece has come into production with thanks to Porsche Design, it imparts additional Luxury and class on the Cayman S. The black leather inside is redefined to match the instrument dials. Even the center console, dashboard, and door trims glisten in black, while the three-spoke sports steering wheel, the gear lever, the handbrake grip, and the roof lining are clothed in non-slip black Alcantara.

The vehicle’s technical features are equally sophisticated, beneath the ten-millimeter-lower body, standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) actively controls the hardness of the shock absorbers and it features a special Sport mode that can be activated at the touch of a button for a really dynamic driving feel. Five-millimeter spacers together with 19-inch turbo wheels give the Cayman S “Porsche Design Edition 1” an exclusive presence.


The Porsche Design Studio, created by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche 35 years ago, has rapidly become a top international name for industrial design, luxury items, and consumer goods. Top-class functionality and esthetic's glisten in the new “Porsche Design Edition 1”.


The market launch of this black Cayman with exclusive Porsche Design will begin in Germany in November 2007 and in the United States in January 2008. The base price is 58,600 Euros.

Range Rover 2008

Range Rover has always been a hot favourite, its more like a dream come true when it comes to motoring, you get all the power you want, you get amazing looking, extra ordinary driving comfort and complete off road experience! That is what you call a complete car!

Rover's have been around for quite some time now, and consequent models have been coming up with more and more features. This time it is the 2008 model, the shape is the same and it looks just as good. The real difference is in what lies within.


Engine And Performance:

Another first one for this 4x4 is a Turbo Diesel V8 engine, which offers petrol like performance but offers 32% more fuel economy as compared to the petrol V8. This has not only helped in increasing the sales upto 19% but also created a good image of diesel engine's capabilities.


New Features:

The list of changes for 2008 is headed by the introduction of four-zone air conditioning, which enables rear seat passengers to control their individual heating and ventilation. This is neatly complemented with 'climate control' windscreen and side glass which is now available in conjunction with automatic rain and headlight sensing. The special glass cuts infrared heat transmission into the vehicle, reducing heat build up when the vehicle is parked in the sun, for example, so allowing the air conditioning to function faster and more effectively on drive away.


The attention to detail extends to new tread-plates and revised graphics on the touch-screen and instruments. A new interior colour becomes available, called Storm, as well as two new exterior colours, Alaska White and Lucerne Green. There is also a new, highly polished 20" alloy wheel design.


For now this particular model doesn't carry a price tag, but it'll be more or less the same as before:)

Subaru WRC Concept

Subaru will be exhibited at the 62nd International Motor Show (IAA), which will be held in Frankfurt am Main from September 15 through 23, 2007. The Concept Car, based on the newImpreza, technical details havn't been released as yet.

Bugatti EB 218 Concept

Bugatti have revolutionized the car industry with a master piece before, the Bugatti Veyron. Now they are all set up to do it again, this time with the Bugatti ED 218. This new concept car is based on the previous EB 118. The outcome is amazing power and elegance and a very unique design.


Engine:

As is said, this car will revolutionize the car industry, this time not with extraordinary speed but an exquisite engine. This car will feature an 18 cylinder engine, this engine, which was developed at Volkswagen, has three rows of six-cylinder banks which are joined in the shape of a "W". A total displacement of 6.3 litres, this engine will put put 555 bhp and a maximum of 650 Nm. This engine will be a very first and one of a kind.

The harmonious lines of the body are continued in the comfortable and elegant interior. The instruments are oval in shape and the intruments panel is framed in the finest leather. The interior is further enhanced through the use of light walnut. The special silk-finish leather is in "biscuit" colour.

Permanent four-wheel drive and an aluminum multi-link suspension lend the Bugatti EB 218 impressive driving dynamics and excellent traction. The powerful and sporty appearance of the vehicle is underlined by the wide track and the long wheelbase with short body overhang. The Bugatti design can also be seen in the harmonious wheels made from shining magnesium.

We are early awaiting this car's release, and we are even more anxious because we know Bugatti can do it. Lets see how much time it takes them.

Peugeot 308 Rc Z Concept

The 308 RC Z concept car is a new Peugeot interpretation of driving pleasure. The car is a 2+2 coupé, with true versatility and at the same time a style that is modern, original and well-balanced.

Attention initially focused on making the vehicle as light as possible by the use of numerous aluminium components, for example the two roll over protection bars that separate the passenger compartment and give shape to the exterior styling, and the use of a polycarbonate rear windscreen and a large number of carbon fibre body parts.

This car may also look hideous from some angles but it is a bold step forward, lets see if they put it in production and if they do lets see how much does the original car resembles the concept model.

New 600hp Continental GT Speed

The new Continental GT Speed, the most powerful Bentley ever made and an extraordinary addition to the Continental GT series. This is also the first Bentley ever to top 200 mph, with a top speed of 32 6 km/h (202 mph).

The exterior style of the new Continental GT Speed is defined by a wider, lower air intake and more upright radiator grille that also provide increased airflow. Its 600bhp (610PS) W12 engine develops 15 percent more torque and nine percent more power than the standard Continental GT, while engine efficiency is optimised by the use of lower friction, lighter-weight components and a new engine management system. The resultant performance is exceptional, with a top speed of 202mph (326km/h), a zero to 60mph sprint time of just 4.3 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.5s) and effortless overtaking capability.


Engine And Performance:

This is the most powerful Bentley production car ever, its highly efficient W12 engine delivers 600bhp (610PS/449kW) and 553lb ft (750Nm), which is a nine percent increase in power and 15 percent increase in torque as compared to the previous Continental GT. This powerful hub of the car catapults it to a topspeed of 202mph (326km/h). Managing 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds and 0-100mph in 10.3 seconds.

This flawless engine power gives the car effortless overtaking performance and the specs support it too, 50-70mph in just 2.3 seconds (80-120km/h in 3.0s).


Also incorporated in the car is Harder-edged, more sporting driving experience through enhanced chassis. Lowered ride height, uprated spring/damper settings and uprated anti-roll bars for improved agility and body control. New levels of roadholding thanks to superior grip from unique 9.5Jx20 wheels with bespoke Pirelli P-Zero performance tyres. Which also help improve steering response also achieved through retuned speed-sensitive Servotronic system, solid-mounted front subframe and stiffer rear bushings.


‘Dynamic’ mode introduced on the uprated Bosch 8.1 ESP system with more progressive intervention to cater for the more spirited driver. Subtle styling modifications distinguish the Continental GT Speed from the Continental GT, which includes, front grille and lower air intakes in dark-tinted chrome matrix and wider rifled sports exhaust tail pipes.

Also on the New Continental GT Speed is a Mulliner Driving Specification which includes, drilled alloy sport foot-pedals, knurled chrome/hide gearlever and diamond quilted hide to seat facings, doors and rear quarter panels.

2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia

Yet another piece of awesome engineering from Ferrari, based on the Ferrari F430, this car incorporated every piece of luxury and extreme sportiness you can think of, it is the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. This car is aimed at Ferrari's most passionate and sports-driving oriented clients. Development focused on light weight, minimum trimmings and innovative technology. All this to exalt the car's extremely high-performance and ability to thrill the driver.


Performance:

As this is a performance based model of the original F430, it has major weight cuts. The new car can count on an extremely low weight-to-power ratio of just 2.45 kg per hp thanks to a low dry weight of just 1250 kg - 100 kg less than the F430 - and to the naturally-aspirated 4308cc V8's 510 hp at 8500 rpm. As always inspiration is taken from the Ferrari F1 car, this time it is the F1 Superfast, which is a software designed to reduce gear change, a gear change on this vehicle takes as low as 60 miliseconds.

Also featured in the car is F1 based new traction control which, for the first time, combines the E-Diff electronic differential and the F1-Trac traction and stability control in a single integrated system.


This is a piece of engineering marvel, which is tuned and designed to suit our flavour and likeness. This car takes you the closest to an F1 circuit as possible with the inspired engineering. A lot of hype has been created by this car and its production is much awaited.


The 430 Scuderia will be officially unveiled by Michael Schumacher at the IAA motor show in Frankfurt in September 2007.

2008 Honda Civic Mugen SI Sedan

Featuring the new Honda Civic Sedan, as sporty and classy as ever, this model is set to be released in mid October. Honda have always been redefining the family sedan formula, improving in much more to give you better performance and driving experience in a factory sedan car. The idea is simple yet elegant, combining the power and fun you get from a sports car and the luxury you get from a saloon.

This one features extended body panels, a racing spoiler, lowered bumpers and side skirts. Plus A sport exhaust system to give you the pleasurable sporty sound and aluminium forged alloy wheels. This extraordinary venture will cost some less than $30,000.

Engine and Performance:

This car features the i-VTEC DOHC 2 litre 4-cylinder engine, more or less the same engine you get in a Honda S2000, which is good because S2000's engine has been given the award for having the best engine 2 years in a row. A 6 speed manual gear box supports the amazing engine capabilities. The suspension of the car has been race track tuned, the car is 0.6 inches lower than the Si, stiffer dumpers and shock absorbers give a firmer drive and better grip. The engine boosts out 197 hp at 7,800 rpm and a maximum torque of 139 Nm at 6,100 rpm.


The full-vehicle aero-package adds a front spoiler with a sports grille, side spoilers, a rear bumper diffuser and a rear wing. The car's sport exhaust system reduces back pressure from the catalytic converter back. Lightweight 16.98-pound 18x7.5-inch forged aluminum wheels (27 percent lighter than the stock 17x7 alloy wheel) and high-grip BFGoodrich® g-Force KDW 215/40ZR18 summer tires help to create MUGEN's unique, rewarding and well-balanced handling performance character.


This car has factory fitted Mugen performance products for the American customers, after great appreciation in Japan.John Mendel, executive vice president of American Honda said, "We're enthusiasts, too, and the ultra-premium Civic MUGEN Si Sedan offers exclusive style and elevated handling performance with legendary Honda refinement."

This car would be exclusively available in Fiji Blue Pearl color. The car will feature a full factory warranty. Only a handful of these cars will be built per annum, a 1000 a year, so this car will remain fairly exclusive.

New Porsche 911 GT2

This new Porsche 911 GT2 improved version was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year. This is the most powerful Porsche produced till date for road use by Porsche AG. The striking new design with larger intakes give a new definition to the car. Although Porsche has been known for never changing its designs a little has been done to improve the car's look. The Porsche is based on a unique driving experience, the styling has stayed more or less unchanged for quite a while now.

This model comes with improved turbo performance, enabling the car to produce 50 more horsepower. The model comes exclusively with a 6 speed manual gear shift mechanism and rear wheel drive.


Engine And Performance:

The power unit is a 3.6 litre 6 cylinder, which comes from the 911 turbo. The air supply comes from two turbo chargers which features Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) for improved performance. The engine manages its maximum power output of 530 horsepower at 6,500 rpm with a maximum torque of 680 Nm which is maintained between 2,200 and 4,500 rpm.

This amazing power helps catapult the car from 0~100 km/h is 3.7 seconds and onto a topspeed of 329 km/h (204 mph). This extraordinary power comes from the improved turbo chargers and the amazing power to weight ratio of the car.


New Features:

This car comes with a unique system for the turbo chargers, the increased intake way keeps the fuel air mixture cooler as compared to a 911 turbo. This in turn means a significant increase takes place in the efficiency of the car, managing exceptionally good fuel consumption upto 22.6 mpg, even with the increase in the power of the engine.

Yet another feature fitted as standard is the electronically controlled PASM Porsche Active Suspension Management. The GT2 comes on 19-inch light-alloy wheels running at the front on 235/35 ZR 19, at the rear on 325/30 ZR 19 sports tyres.


The 911 GT2 offers new achievements also in terms of emission management and control. This is the first Porsche to feature a rear silencer and tailpipes made of titanium as standard equipment. This expensive material reduces weight by approximately 50 per cent versus a comparable component made of stainless steel to just 9 kg.


The car costs around 160,000 euros.

Honda S2000

The Honda S2000 is a two door convertible hot roadster manufactured by the Japanese automaker Honda Motor Company. Launched in April 1999, the car was created to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary. Prices in the United States start at $34,250.

Continuing in the tradition of its predecessors, the S2000 features a front-mid-engine, rear wheel drive layout with power being delivered via a limited slip differential mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The S2000 comes with an electrically powered cloth top.

Engine And Performance:

The car comes with a 2 litre DOHC-VTEC engine capable of extreme rpm, while other cars in its class are limited at 6,000 rpm this car has 3,000 more to go, that means the rpm limiter for this car is 9,000 rpm which gives you extra kick and thrill. The engine produces 243 horse power which enables the car go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 secs. Also accompanying the great engine is great weight distribution, and ultra low ratio 6 speed manual transmission which lets you enjoy the car to your limit.

The car is great even when driving inter city giving you a mileage of around 22 mpg. Which is also better than any other car in its class.


This car ranked number 1 in top gear's survey of 2004, 2005 and 2006. Host Jeremy Clarkson even put the car above Porsche Boxter and BMW Z4. And elaborated and praised this car's amazing engine performance and that this had a 9,000 rpm red line.

Also the S2000 was on Car and Driver's Ten Best list for 2000 through 2002 and 2004. This car's engine won the International Engine of the Year award in the "1.8 to 2 litre" size category for five years from 2000 through 2004. And was also featured on Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 2000 and 2001.

The S2000 was the highest-ranked model in the J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study "Premium Sports Car" class for 2004 and 2006, and has consistently held one of the top three positions.

Mercedes Benz CLK DTM

This car has been around for quite a while in different shapes, its a very fine blend of all the luxury and racing features of mercedes benz. This car is vaguely based on the CLK 55 Amg, the aim was to make an all-arounder that evokes the spirit of the racing CLK that won the 2003 DTM (German Touring Car Masters) racing series. On the other hand, the sad part is that only 100 of these imaculate cars will be made which have been already sold out.


Looks and Interior:

The car certainly looks apart with its deep front spoiler and 19" front and 20" back tyres, which have low profile dunlop tyres on them. The idea of bigger real wheels is quite a tradition with rear wheel drive car sports cars. The side scoops really give the car a sleeky devilish look. It's the kind of body kit that only someone like AMG gets right: meaning that better than stock cars but still its close eoungh to one that that it doesn't act as a cop magnet.

The interior is carbon fibre based, although the stock CLK features remain. The carbon fibre sport bucket seats with leather trim really give the car an edge. Plus carbon fibre on the door panles also gives the car a built for sports look!

Engine and Performance:

The Engine is taken from a SL 55 AMG and has been given a trim to pull out extra horses, in comparison with a SL 55 AMG the engine puts out 81 more horses, putting the total on 574 horses. The car pulls out 590 lb-ft of torque giving the car an extra punch. The result of these changes is amazing, the car does 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds and goes onto a top speed of 199 mph. Not only that but the car sounds really amazing too.

Mercedes are normally let down by their handling but this one handles near perfection, all thanks to the awesomely balances chasis. The newly reprogrammed stability system allows for plenty of fun but saves you from expensive encounters with trees or guardrails. The brakes, too, are magnificent, and reviews say that DTM is as involving on the road as it is on the track.

This car costs around $300,000.
